Great place for family or friends and super good food! Waiters and waitresses are the best too. Well definitely be back!

Visited this restaurant for the first time today and WOW!! Another local Chinese restaurant closed it's doors after 60+ years that our family was regulars to. We stopped eating Chinese food - couldn't find a restaurant similar...until now. The food was spot on, the service was fast and friendly and the cleanliness was out of this world! (I'm a stickler for clean restaurants (especially their bathrooms)) - Confucius surpassed my expectations and this will now be our go-to place for wonderful Chinese cuisine!

Confucius has better then average Chinese food for Boise. Waite staff is very nice and the are fairly quick at getting food out to table. Love the location and prices are exceptional the Lunch menu starts at around 6 bucks for a decent sized meal.

The environment was quiet and it made it a much better place to visit.. Plus the setting takes me back into th 80's.. So if you like the more blast from the past setting then this is your place!! 🤗🤗🤗

Sign out front says open till 8:00 p.m. on Christmas and it is 715 but we were turned away stating we're not taking anyone else now with many people waiting in to be seated. Merry Christmas.

Food was great, service was excellent and the prices were good. Just found my new go to Chinese restaurant.

It was way better than I remember...I hadn't been to this restaurant in 7 years because of a really bad experience (terrible food and awful service). I went here to get takeout for my family of 7. I was able to feed them all for about $70. The food was decent, not spectacular, but far better than the last time.Service was better too, although the guy at the front was a bit overworked so he was a little gruff.Overall, they went to a place I thought I'd never go to again to a restuarant I would consider again. That's kind of a big deal to me.

When we took a few more minutes to look over the menu because we needed more time, our waitress came back to the table and started grabbing our menus from our hands when we clearly weren't ready. We were literally the only people in there, so I'm not sure what the rush was. Food was subpar. Egg drop soup was tasteless (and not free like most Chinese restaurants). It had uncooked vegetables in it and I could swear it came from a box mix. Not a terrible experience, but not necessarily a fan either.

Great food!!! The waitress we had got mad at me because I said that I'd like chowmien with soft noodles. Sorry, miss Lomien. Otherwise great place😊

This is a great Chinese American place. Friendly staff and quick and tasty food. If you are looking for authentic or low fat and salt food, you are in the wrong place.

Food is amazing. I tried their soy sauce packet about 2 weeks ago on my rice, and it tasted like nothing. I recommend using soy sauce from a regular bottle.

Standard Chinese fare, nothing spectacular but they have combination dinners that are worth the price.One of my go to places for Chinese food!.When I originally posted this I had no idea that they would be out of business soon after.It is disheartening to see an independent restaurant close after so many years of service.

Good Chinese food for a great price. Nothing out of the ordinary here. Just what you would expect, with all the Americanized dishes you love. This is not a buffet and that's a good thing. Not many establishments left that arent. Also quiet. So Nice place for relaxing conversation while you eat.

Just keep going back to this wonderful restaurant! Never disappointed in the prompt service and the delicious food. Sometimes I opt for delivery; again - prompt. Time and again, when mentioning this lovely restaurant, most are in agreement with the satisfying food and friendly service.

The food is great with a nice atmosphere to where you can visit and talk without loud noises in the back ground.

I have been coming here for years. Friendly helpful staff and warm comfortable environment. I recommend eating family style.

Been eating here for years now and have yet to be disappointed! I highly recommend the pork fried rice and Mandarin chicken, the crab rangoons are beautiful as well. I'd recommend going when it's less busy as it's when the food is at its best, but you shouldn't be disappointed either way!

We are new to the area and were really looking forward to some Chinese food. We had it delivered and they were right on time. They forgot the rice but 15 min later them came back with it. That's the only good part. THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE. We had garlic chicken, beef and broccoli and pork chow mien. No flavor in any of the dishes. Couldn't find any pork in the chow mien except for the few 1/8 in strips on the top. It was all sauce and not many veggies. The beef and broccoli didn't even smell good. We tried it but threw it away. The garlic chicken didn't have any garlic we could taste. We ended up putting the rest of it in the garbage. Very disappointed. Hope we find descent Chinese food in the Boise area.

Great service but the pork was very dry and the orange chicken was mostly breading, small portions.

I have been eating here since I was a little kid. Back in the day my parents could smoke inside! By far one of the best takeout or dine in Chinese restaurants in the valley. I do not live super close so when I am near I stop in and get some great Chinese. Fast, friendly and delicious!

So far everything here is delicious. We go every time we go to Boise. The Mandarin Chicken is slices of chicken in their sweet and sour sauce, not breaded like their sweet and sour pork like other restaurants do. Also the pork fried rice is great

I think it's one of the best Chinese places in the area. You get your food quick and the people are friendly. Not to mention that the food itself is really good.

We were traveling through Boise and hoping for an authentic Chinese meal (we are clearly spoiled in Seattle). Staff was friendly enough, but the rest of the experience was lacking for our tastes. The music was canned/elevator 80’s American pop music. We were given our appetizer, with no appetizer plates (messy). The food was portioned small for the price of each dish. Some dishes were bland, while others were flavored inappropriately. One of five dishes were flavored as should be. Left with a headache and disappointment. Is there anywhere in Boise that serves truly authentic Chinese cuisine?

The quality and pricing is reasonable. We were hoping for something nicer. This is probably best for just take out. The kicker for us was CHARGING us for hot chile sauce in smaller than 1/2 oz portions, so we needed two. A great way to tick someone off who might otherwise be on the fence...We're calling them one and done.

Rangoons are great, I was looking for some good hot and sour soup, but I didn't find it here, it was off. Customer service was awesome!

This was one of my favorite Chinese food places. I am sad to say that they are now closed. Permanently. This place will be truly missed.

Delicious food for your standard Chinese restaurant. Just wish they had teriyaki chicken. But their manderin chicken is a close 2nd.

We have dined here for many many years and we have always loved the great prices, yummy food, fast and friendly people and CLEAN restaurant.

Nice quiet place for lunch. Good food. Good atmosphere. They also offer great family style takeout options. We've ordered it to go several times. Today was my first day dining in and I will be back.

Very good American Chinese food. The General Chicken was well done and somewhat spicy. Mandarin Chicken went over well with the family. It's a testament that they've lasted this long on Fairview.

It was an amazing Chinese restaurant until my son and I went to get dinner on Monday the 25th 2019 and they were closed for good a sign on the window appreciated all of the business they've had and the they retired, very sad

The food here is nasty! The chicken chow mein was put together with gel like consistency. Yuk! Ordered the family menu for 2 people and had barely enough food for the both of us. VERY disappointed! Will not go back!

I have never dined inside the restaurant, BUT- the atmosphere and decor is beautiful. I loved the comfy couches in the entry, the fountain, and the ceilings. The service for takeout is always quick and there has never been any mistakes. My favorite thing to get is the family dinner with the moogoo gaipan for my boyfriend and I! Definately will return for good service in the future.

Never been here until now and didn't know what to expect. I was completely blown away. I ordered takeout and in the 10 minutes it took for me to there it was ready. The food was great some of the best Chinese take out I've ever had. I highly recommend this place!

Pretty good atmosphere. Weren't a lot of people. But our waitress was very friendly. She seemed very rushed which kind of put us on edge. Most customers don't like being rushed to finish. But overall the food was good.
